Name a goal and a target
An emergency fund, a trip, a new laptop. As many as you like, with Pro.

Contribute, or take out
A contribution is set aside, never counted as spent. Taking some out asks which account it goes back to, and why, if you want to say.

Give it a date
Set a target date and the goal tells you what it costs a month to get there on time.

With a target date, each card also says what it costs a month: what’s still to go, divided by the months left.
Questions
About goals
Does a contribution count as spending?
No. It leaves what you have to spend this month, but it’s counted as Saved, never as Spent. The Transactions page shows Spent, Saved and Invested side by side.
What if I need some of it back?
Take it out: choose the account it goes back to and, if you like, a reason. The goal’s progress goes down with it.
How is the monthly amount worked out?
What’s still to go, divided by the whole months until the target date, a part of a month counting as a month.
Are goals part of the free plan?
No, goals are part of Pro, and every account starts with a trial that includes them. If you go back to Free, the goals you made stay visible and you can delete them; they unlock again when you upgrade.
